Man United have already signed Matheus Cunha from Wolves, and have been linked to Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo.

Last season was a nightmare for Ruben Amorim and Manchester United, as they had their worst Premier League finish in the history of the club. The Red Devils finished 15th in the league, on 42 points from 38 games.

But how much will the attacking pair improve the Red Devils next season, and could it be enough to land them a spot in European football? We asked Chat GPT to predict the league table, this is what it said....

AI predicts a Man United top-four finish

1. Liverpool - The Reds repeat their feat of Arne Slot’s first season in charge at Anfield by winning consecutive PL titles.

2. Arsenal - Mikel Arteta’s side finish second yet again after three consecutive years as the runners-up in the Premier League.

4. Manchester United - AI thinks that with the additions of Cunha and Mbeumo, Man United improve dramatically, and finish in a Champions League place in Ruben Amorim’s second season.

5. Chelsea - Enzo Maresca’s side finish fifth, one spot behind where they ended this past season.

6. Newcastle United - The Magpies fail to secure Champions League football next term, with Man United replacing them in the top four.

7. Tottenham Hotspur - Improvement for Spurs too, after a 17th-place finish last season under Ange Postecoglou.

8. Aston Villa - Unai Emery’s side take a step back after finishing sixth last year, qualifying for the Europa League.

9. Crystal Palace - Another mid-table finish for the Eagles, who are hoping to compete in the Europa League after their FA Cup triumph against Manchester City.

10. Brighton - Palace’s rivals finish 10th, they are hoping to get into the Europa League if the Eagles aren’t allowed due to UEFA’s ownership rules.

Who does AI think will be relegated?

11. Brentford - After losing Bryan Mbeumo, the Bees aren’t hurt too much, still holding a solid mid-table finish.

12. Fulham - Marco Silva’s side drop one spot in the league, continuing to be a solid mid-table Premier League side.

13. West Ham United - A solid improvement for the Hammers, who had a disappointing season under Julen Lopetegui and then Graham Potter.

14. Everton - Moving to their new stadium proves to be a good omen for Everton as they stay well clear of relegation again.

15. Wolves - Following the departure of Matheus Cunha, Wolves are relegation-threatened again, but they manage to stay safe.

16. Leeds United - Leeds do well upon their return to the top-flight, being able to survive relegation.

17. Burnley - Another newly-promoted side to steer clear of relegation, it bucks the trend of recent seasons in the Premier League.

18. Sunderland - Despite a brave effort, Sunderland are a casualty of relegation and head straight back down to the Championship.

19. Bournemouth - A shock prediction by AI, as it thinks Bournemouth will face issues next season and get relegated. It may be down to the sale of Dean Huijsen and the potential departure of Milos Kerkez to Liverpool.

20. Nottingham Forest - Perhaps the most surprising prediction, AI thinks that Nuno Espirito Santo’s side will be relegated after their seventh-place finish last season. Will European football derail their domestic campaign?
