Harry Toffolo eyed by Champions League club ahead of expected Nottingham Forest exit

Harry Toffolo could head north to Rangers with the Nottingham Forest full-back set to be released this summer.

Toffolo is out of contract at the City Ground at the end of June and it would be a surprise if he were to be offered a new deal.

The 29-year-old left-back made just seven appearances in all competitions this season, including only one Premier League start.

Should he leave, Toffolo shouldn't struggle to find a new club with the Scottish Sun reporting that Rangers are keen.

The squad at Ibrox is set to undergo a revamp following Russell Martin’s arrival as manager and Toffolo is on their radar to come in at left-back.

A move to Rangers would give Toffolo the chance to play in the Champions League, with the club to begin their campaign in the second qualifying round this summer.

Toffolo has spent three years at the City Ground, joining from Huddersfield after Forest beat the Terriers in the play-off final.

He’s made 57 appearances for the club in total, his one goal coming in a 1-1 draw with Wolves in December 2023.

At full-back, the priority for Forest is to tie Ola Aina and Neco Williams down to new contracts following their impressive campaigns.

In support, pre-season could be important to show whether Omar Richards and Eric da Silva Moreira have a role to play in the upcoming campaign.

Forest also look to have 22-year-old Brazilian left-back Cuiabano coming into the fold as part of a triple transfer from Botafogo.
