**West Ham** are understood not to have reignited interest in Manchester United winger Jadon Sancho, despite recent reports to the contrary.

Sancho was originally offered to the Hammers last week, with a 48-hour window to make a move—at the time, the deal was dependent on [Mohammed Kudus](https://www.claretandhugh.info/mohammed-kudus-bio/) going the other way.
During that brief period, West Ham—led by head of recruitment Kyle Macaulay—contacted Chelsea for feedback on Sancho’s loan spell at Stamford Bridge. Following those discussions, manager Graham Potter decided the player didn’t fit the profile he was looking for. That stance hasn’t changed.
In fact, with Kudus now less likely to join Manchester United and no financial offset on the table, any potential deal for Sancho looks even more unlikely.
Reports that United might tear up Sancho’s £350k-per-week deal also appear far-fetched, given the cost of a full payout. A loan deal—where the hiring club pays a portion of the wages—is more feasible, but as it stands, West Ham are not in negotiations.
