Liverpool supporters are waiting patiently for a couple of big transfers to get done before the first deadline of the summer on Tuesday.
The Reds have already secured Jeremie Frimpong, but are pushing to get Florian Wirtz and Milos Kerkez through the door as well.
It remains to be seen whether a breakthrough on either deal will arrive before the window temporarily closes in two days’ time.
In the meantime, Liverpool surprised just about everyone by getting their second transfer of the summer over the line on Saturday.
After it emerged that Liverpool were pushing to sign Armin Pecsi from Puskas Academy in Hungary, the transfer was officially completed not long after.
And as Pecsi arrives to complete Liverpool’s goalkeeping options, the 20-year-old celebrated his move by suggesting it has been a long time in the works.

Armin Pecsi is a boyhood Liverpool fan
For those who do not follow Hungarian football closely, Pecsi will have been a completely unknown quantity before this week.
However, the youngster took to Instagram once Liverpool had officially announced his signing to suggest he has been planning to join the club ever since he was small.

“Keep dreaming,” Pecsi simply wrote, along with a photo of him in his new Liverpool kit.
The second photo attached to the post was the more intriguing, and featured a very young Pecsi in a replica of Liverpool’s 2006/07 home shirt.

The goalkeeper’s agency, EM Sports, appeared to confirm their client’s allegiance with a post of their own upon his arrival at Anfield.
“He has always been a true red to the core. Now he belongs to them,” they wrote.
What role will Pecsi play at Liverpool?
With Caoimhin Kelleher departing and Giorgi Mamardashvili finally arriving alongside Pecsi, there is plenty of change in Liverpool’s goalkeeping department this summer.
Vitezslav Jaros and Harvey Davies also remain at the club, along with several standout youngsters within the Liverpool academy.
As a result of the competition for places, it will be fascinating to see what role has been earmarked for Pecsi next season.
According to The Athletic, the youngster is expected to begin the season as the Liverpool U21 goalkeeper.
However, it’s also claimed Pecsi has been signed to provide depth to the club’s goalkeeping options and that he will be training with the first-team Liverpool squad.
