According to Steve Popper of Newsday, the Knicks are unlikely to re-sign 25-year-old backup forward Precious Achiuwa.

This season marked Achiuwa’s second in New York, following his trade from the Toronto Raptors last season. Despite spending a full year with the team, he failed to establish a consistent role in the rotation.

Achiuwa was largely sidelined during the playoffs, appearing in just eight games and averaging 1.8 points in roughly four minutes per contest.

His regular season contributions were more significant: he averaged over 20 minutes, recording 6.6 points and 5.6 rebounds per game, and started in 10 of his 57 appearances.
