Following a record-breaking campaign for Nottingham Forest, we’re looking back across the season, reliving key moments, memorable matches and stunning strikes from across the 2024/25 campaign.
With Forest flying into November, the Reds opened the month with a visit from West Ham United, and three goals would make it three wins on the bounce for Forest.
On 27 minutes, Chris Wood netted for the fourth time in three fixtures when he headed Aléx Moreno’s cross into the net from close range after making space for himself in the Hammers’ box.
With half time approaching, Callum Hudson-Odoi released Anthony Elanga down the right flank. West Ham’s Edson Álvarez brought our Sweden international down when trying to track back and he was awarded a second yellow card for his troubles. The visitors were reduced to 10 men.
With 25 minutes remaining, the Reds doubled the lead when Hudson-Odoi’s strike from the edge of the box took the slightest of deflections off Konstantinos Mavropanos to beat Łukas Fabiański and put Forest in the driving seat.
With 12 minutes remaining of the 90, Ola Aina rounded off the scoring with his first of the season with a stunning strike on his left boot from distance.
Newcastle United travelled to the City Ground before the international break and the Reds opened the scoring when Murillo headed home his first goal in Garibaldi from Elanga’s out swinging free-kick.
However, the Reds’ winning run would come to an end when goals from first Alexander Isak then Joelinton turned the scoreline around in the second half.
Harvey Barnes rounded off the scoring with seven minutes remaining.
After the international break, Forest headed to North London to face Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
After Bukayo Saka opened the scoring for the Gunners, second half strikes from Thomas Partey and Ethan Nwaneri secured the three points for the home side.
A visit from Ipswich Town rounded off the month but a familiar feeling returned with a single goal from Wood meaning all three points for Forest.
After a goalless first half, with both sides creating chances, it took four minutes of the second period for the eventual breakthrough to come.
After Jota was felled in the Tractor Boys’ box by Sammie Szmodics, Wood stepped up to rifle the ball into the Ipswich net for the only goal of the game, and equalling Bryan Roy’s record as Forest’s joint all-time Premier League top goalscorer.
Murillo was denied by Arijanet Muric and the crossbar as the scoreline remained at 1-0, which proved enough for the Reds to return to winning ways.
