Wolves had a tricky start at the start of the Premier League season under Gary O’Neil, but after the appointment of Vitor Pereria, Wolves managed to fight their way out of relegation, which at one point seemed inevitable.
With Matheus Cunha putting pen to paper on his contract at Manchester United, Vitor Pereira will now face a challenging transfer window, especially with the talent he will have to replace.
Areas to strengthen
Goalkeeper
José Sá conceded 48 goals in 29 games and managed to keep a clean sheet for seven games.
The 32-year-old only has two years left on his contract with the option for a further year.
Although Wolves may not be looking to replace their number one, a back up is needed and potentially could be someone who can come in to later replace Sá when he eventually moves on.
With Wolves lacking in a backup or a successor to José Sá, a goalkeeper is a position where Wolves should look to improve.
Attacking Midfielder
After the departure of Matheus Cunha as he swaps Molinuex for the bright lights of Old Trafford, Wolves will now have a job on their hands finding a talent to replace the Brazilian.
Whoever Wolves bring in to replace Cunha will have big boots to fill after the Brazilian had an amazing season, scoring 15 goals from 33 games. Wolves will need a creative, yet goal-scoring, attacking midfielder in order to keep up their hopes of survival next season.
Possible departures
Rayan-Aït-Nouri
Rayan-Aït-Nouri will be departing Wolves after five year stint at the club, swapping his gold and black shirt for the light blue of Manchester City.
Aï-Nouri is expected to sign a five year deal with Man City after a deal of £36.3 million was agreed.

Wolves will miss Rayan-Aït-Nouri, whose pace and technical ability made him a constant threat down the left hand side.
Goncalo Guedes
Goncalo Guedes is also expected to move away from Wolves in the transfer window.
After an underwhelming season, the 28-year-old has only scored 2 goals from 987 minutes of play.
Guedes had 27 shots all season with only eight of those being on target. Some of his goals could have contributed to Wolves gaining more points this season, with one of his biggest misses coming from the last game of the season which ended 1-1 against Brentford.
The club will be expected to listen to any offers for Guedes in order to move him on to make way for another striker which can push Wolves further.
Expiring Contacts
Wolves released their retained list stating the departure of Pablo Sarabia and Craig Dawson.
The club have also commented, stating that they haven't taken the option to sign Carlos Forbs after his loan spell and therefore he will return to Ajax.
Nélson Semedo is also out of contract but Wolves have offered 31-year-old another contract. However, there will be clubs lining up to try gain the signature of Semedo.
Priority Target
Robert Renan
Vitor Pereira has asked the club to sign Robert Renan, who has recently finished a loan spell Al-Shabab.
👀 LCB Rumour!
It’s reported that Vitor Pereira wants to sign left sided CB Robert Renan. Vitor has coached the player at Corinthians and Al-Shabab.
Negotiations are said to be at early stages between #wwfc and Zenit, the player has just finished his loan at Al-Shabab.

The 21-year-old plays for Zenit, a Russian team, which may make the deal hard to get over the line due to certain sanctions.
Renan could be a great replacement of Rayan-Aït-Nouri if the deal can go ahead due to his defensive intelligence but also how calm Renan can be on the ball.
Lucas Stassin
Wolves have been crying out for a goal-scoring striker and Lucas Stassin could be the striker to fix Wolves' problems in front of goal.
The 20-year-old Belgian has had a fantastic season scoring 12 goals and grabbing four assists from 28 games, 23 of which he has started.
If Wolves could get this deal over the line with Stassin putting pen to paper, it could really give them the boost going into the next season, especially with the quality the Belgian can bring.
