Everton have now held discussions with Jack Grealish regarding a loan move from Manchester City this summer.
Despite making 157 appearances for Man City, there’s a feeling that Jack Grealish has never really got going under Pep Guardiola.
Grealish was the star of the show at Aston Villa, the maverick of Villa Park, but at the Etihad he’s often a bench warmer, a very expensive one.
That being said, Everton could provide Grealish with a potential exit route this summer, one of a number of Premier League sides who are interested in a loan deal.
And ahead of the World Cup next summer, it could be time for Grealish to take on a new challenge, a player who has a lot to prove to Thomas Tuchel.
Jack Grealish would be keen on Everton move after talks are held
In terms of Grealish’s situation and a potential loan this summer, TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey has now provided the latest.
Grealish is the second highest paid player at City with Kevin De Bruyne preparing to leave, and as a result, Guardiola’s side have told him he can leave.

Although, that’s easier said than done and City realise that a loan might be the only way to find a solution owing to the winger’s huge wages.
In terms of a potential move to Merseyside, Everton have spoken with Grealish’s people to understand his situation.
The player is happy in Manchester and is not desperate to leave, but he does understand he might have to go.
Stating that Grealish would be open to joining David Moyes’ side, Bailey explained: “Everton are a very interesting option for Grealish, one of a number of clubs who like him.
“The chance to stay in the North West could play a part and give the Merseysiders an advantage.
“I am told that despite not seeking a move, Grealish is now beginning to accept his fate and that his future is likely to lie away from the Etihad.”
Everton are not the only team interested in Grealish
In terms of interest elsewhere across the Premier League, Newcastle United, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United and Aston Villa are all aware of the situation.
It’s understood that Grealish would assess each option on merit — all of the clubs mentioned would have some appeal.
Of course, some Everton fans might already be imagining the mercurial talent of Grealish playing alongside Iliman Ndiaye in their new stadium next season.
Ndiaye has a somewhat similar position profile to Grealish, but there would definitely still be space for both in the same starting eleven.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s future is still undecided at Everton as things stand, and the club would surely welcome another England international irrespective of the striker’s eventual decision.
