"Deal ON!" - Sky Sports reporter says 'unstoppable' star now wants to join Arsenal, talks…

Arsenal target Benjamin Sesko is reportedly "keen on a move" to the Emirates this summer, according to Sky Sports Germany's Florian Plettenberg.

The Gunners have been in pursuit of a new striker for Mikel Arteta for quite some time, and it became evident over the course of the 2024/25 season that a pairing of Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus may not be enough to guarantee silverware.

Now, Arsenal have taken steps to be the frontrunners in the race to sign Sesko as their new centre-forward, with negotiations between both player and club thought to be progressing well thus far.

In a report to X (formerly Twitter), Plettenberg noted that Sesko has given the green light for a move to Arsenal and talks are positive, though an agreement is yet to be reached.

Reports suggest the talisman has a variable release clause inserted into his contract which has risen to almost £70 million, and discussions continue over a possible payment structure.

Dubbed "unstoppable", Sesko showed promising form last term by notching 21 goals in 45 appearances across all competitions, serving up a further six assists in the process. Arteta is especially keen to add the Solvenian to his squad, as was also the case last summer before the player ultimately penned a contract extension to keep him at the Red Bull Arena until 2029 instead.
