Everton are in the market for new players and Jack Grealish is reportedly a target – and there is one player who might just be hoping the Toffees can land the Manchester City star.
Everton need a big summer, after finishing 13th in the Premier League.
David Moyes did a terrific job after replacing Sean Dyche.
But the Scot knows he needs backing in a big way in this window to ensure the club do not go backwards.
Many players are leaving the club due to being out of contract or at the end of their loan spells, and it’s vital for The Friedkin Group to ensure Moyes is not left high and dry going into 2025/26.
One player on Everton’s radar is Jack Grealish, who is all but certain to leave Manchester City this summer.
And there’s one player in that Everton dressing room right now who might just be hoping a deal comes to fruition.

Grealish has struggled for minutes for quite a while now at City.
MORE EVERTON STORIES
After playing an important role in their Treble-winning season in 2022/23, Grealish has rather fallen by the wayside, and is now behind the likes of Savinho, Jeremy Doku and Omar Marmoush in the pecking order.
And there was further frustration for Grealish in the FA Cup final, when Pep Guardiola overlooked him in favour of handing Claudio Echeverri a debut.
Everton are keen on Grealish this summer and it would be interesting to see what this would mean for existing players.
Very possibly, Everton signing Grealish would mean a position alteration for Iliman Ndiaye.
Grealish plays almost exclusively as a left winger, but Ndiaye has the capacity to play in the middle.
Most of Ndiaye’s minutes came from the left in 2024/25, but previously for Sheffield United he played as a number 10.
We’ve seen him crop up in central areas in an Everton shirt, and Everton fans have previously called for Ndiaye to play as a number 10.
He looks at home in these areas, because he has the technical ability to be good in small spaces, and seems to relish having more freedom to go left, right or through the middle. Being right-footed and playing on the left often demands a winger to cut inside, meaning a player can become more predictable.
Grealish, who is also wanted by Newcastle, signing might just be the catalyst for this to happen.
Grealish needs new lease of life and Everton could be perfect move
Grealish’s reputation has taken a bit of a battering in the last couple of years.
His lack of goals and assists for City and the price they paid to sign him from Aston Villa are often used as sticks to beat him with.
Undoubtedly, he needs a fresh challenge – and Everton could genuinely be a perfect next club for him.
Jack Grealish for Man City (2021-present)
Appearances – 157
Goals – 17
Assists – 23
Trophies won – 7
He’d come to a club with a hugely passionate fanbase and would be playing his football at a world-class new stadium.
He’d get great support from David Moyes and also get play with the likes of Ndiaye, Carlos Alcaraz and Dwight McNeil, and possibly be a bit more free is he is allowed to interchange with them.
