Brighton and Hove Albion have made a huge move to sign Greek teenage sensation Charalampos Kostoulas, according to reports, with a £34million offer tabled for the prodigy - and that should open the door for Everton to sign Evan Ferguson to lead them into their new era at the Hill Dickinson Stadium.
The Toffees are set to continue as Premier League ever-presents, despite suffering a ropey start to last season under Sean Dyche, being just one point above the relegation zone in mid-January after a loss to Aston Villa at Goodison Park - but David Moyes turned their campaign around, only losing three more games in the remainder of the season, and those defeats only came to three of the eventual top four.

FFP rules and PSR limitations will subside the club this summer, meaning they'll have much more money to spend - and it's come at a good time, with the Toffees in a rich vein of form and able to spend money to change their attacking fortunes, which largely suffered last season with only the bottom three teams scoring less.
Attacking recruits will be on Moyes' agenda, especially with Beto being linked with a move away from Goodison Park to Leeds United, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin's contract not being sorted out as he continues to be touted for a move to clubs such as Newcastle United.

And with Kostoulas now being the subject of talks between Brighton and Olympiacos, his arrival would shunt Ferguson further down the pecking order behind Joao Pedro, Danny Welbeck and Georginio Rutter - opening the door for a move to Everton.
The Irish youngster burst onto the scene in his full debut campaign back in the 2022/23 season, scoring six goals in just 19 top-flight matches as an 18-year-old - before replicating that tally last season despite playing more games.
The 20-year-old then suffered from the appointment of Fabian Hurzeler over the summer, garnering just one start under the German gaffer and scoring once in the Premier League - and his six-month loan spell at West Ham United went as poorly as you could hope, failing to notch in eight games before his return to the south coast.

Brighton were thought to be open to a permanent sale in January, and his torrid loan spell in the capital certainly won't have done him any favours under Hurzeler - especially with Pedro and Welbeck in particular firing on all cylinders in impressive individual seasons.
And, as a player who needs a kickstart in the right conditions to blossom again, Everton could be the perfect fit for him - especially with Moyes having gotten the best out of many strikers in his time on Merseyside, with Yakubu, Louis Saha and Andy Johnson all enjoying some of the best form of their careers in royal blue.
Everton have previously housed players in need of a rebirth on a consistent basis, with Dwight McNeil and James Tarkowski both coming from relegated Burnley to feature prominently in their squad, as well as Dele Alli, James Rodriguez and Demarai Gray - with all but Alli excelling at Goodison Park. Ferguson would be the latest recipient and Moyes could see him flourish after once being touted with Manchester United and Tottenham.
