Portugal and Spain are set to go head-to-head in the Nations League final on Sunday.
Roberto Martinez's Portugal beat Germany 2-1 in the first semi-final on Wednesday to book their place in the showpiece event at the Allianz Arena. Even if Liverpool-bound Florian Wirtz put Germany in front, Francisco Conceicao levelled before former Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo scored the winner.
As for Spain, they navigated a high-scoring semi-final to progress past France 5-4 in a thriller on Thursday. At one point, however, it looked as though Luis de la Fuente's side were cruising into the final after going 4-0 up. Nico Williams, Mikel Merino, Lamine Yamal and Pedri scored for the Euro 2024 winners.
Although Kylian Mbappe pulled one back for France, Yamal added his brace to restore Spain's four-goal advantage. But France mounted a late comeback, with Rayan Cherki - who is set to join Manchester City - scoring, Dani Vivian putting the ball through his own net and Randal Kolo Muani making it 5-4 in stoppage-time. But it proved too little too late as Spain held on to secure a place in Sunday's final against Portugal.
Several Premier League stars are going to be on show in Munich. Manchester City duo Bernardo Silva and Ruben Dias are involved for Portugal, as are Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes and defender Diogo Dalot.
