Evan Ferguson could potentially be on his way to Everton in the ongoing transfer window as David Moyes searches for a new striker.

The ex-West Ham United boss wanted Liam Delap at Hill Dickinson Stadium before the start of next season, but the former Manchester City youngster has joined Chelsea.

Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s contract at Goodison Park expires at the end of June, and his departure will leave the Toffees short on options up front.

Armando Broja has also returned to Stamford Bridge from his loan spell at the Merseyside outfit, and they may want to shift their focus quickly to other targets.

The news outlet reports on X (8 June) that the Seagulls are interested in the 18-year-old Greek striker, who is keen on a move to the Amex.

If the deal goes through, that’ll surely leave the door open for the Toffees to make a swoop for Ferguson, who has struggled for game time under Fabian Hurzeler.

The 20-year-old Ireland international may be available after the East Sussex outfit sign Kostoulas, and it would make sense for the Blues to make an approach.

Moyes needs new striker at Hill Dickinson Stadium

Moyes relied on Beto after returning to Goodison Park due to several fitness issues in the Toffees’ attack, but it remains to be seen what the future holds for the Guinea-Bissau striker.

Regardless of whether Calvert-Lewin stays or goes, the Blues should still sign a reliable goalscorer, as the Englishman’s injuries over the years have frustrated many fans.

Yousseff Chermiti has also struggled to stay fit during his time at the Merseyside outfit, leaving the Scottish manager with a dearth of options in the number nine position.

Everton wanted Ferguson in the winter transfer window, but he ended up joining West Ham on a short-term loan, although it wasn’t fruitful.

The 20-year-old didn’t feature much for Graham Potter’s team, and it wouldn’t make sense for him to go back to the London Stadium this summer.

While the Irishman has struggled to live up to his expectations in recent months, Moyes seems like the perfect manager to bring the best out of the young centre-forward.

With The Friedkin Group (TFG) preparing for a new era at the Hill Dickinson Stadium, the Brighton centre-forward may be the right signing for the Blues this summer.
