Tino Livramento believes one of Nick Pope’s most important saves for Newcastle United simply isn’t spoken about enough.
Livramento and Pope both starred for Newcastle United during the 2024/25 campaign. They were two of Eddie Howe’s important players during what was a remarkable season, playing key roles in the Carabao Cup victory back in March.
Indeed, Livramento marked Mohamed Salah out of the Carabao Cup final, despite playing relatively out of position at left-back following Lewis Hall’s injury.
Pope was equally as brilliant and the Newcastle defender doesn’t think the goalkeeper gets enough credit for one crucial intervention.

“It kind of gets like, not spoke about enough, I think.

Leeds want to sign Pope this summer, but actually selling him would be a big call.
The England international has been an excellent servant for Newcastle since he arrived from Burnley in 2022 and rarely put a foot wrong last season, particularly towards the end of the campaign.
Newcastle want to keep Pope next season but it remains to be seen if that’s possible should Trafford actually arrive.
In an ideal world, they’d sign Trafford and keep Pope. Things, however, may not work out that way.
