The Miami Dolphins have been mentioned in trade rumors quite heavily in recent weeks regarding star veteran cornerback Jalen Ramsey.
Ramsey is widely expected to be traded before the start of the 2025 NFL season. He has been productive during his time with the Dolphins, but Miami could look to move him to save some money.
With the trade rumors continuing to intensify, Ramsey has made a major career decision.
According to a report from NFL insider Ian Rapoport, Ramsey has decided to not attend mandatory minicamp this week.
"As the Dolphins and star CB Jalen Ramsey continue to work towards a trade, Ramsey is not planning to attend mandatory minicamp this week, sources say," Rapoport posted on X. "He’ll stay away, as the situation works to a conclusion."
This further supports the expectation that Ramsey will not be a part of the team when Week 1 rolls around. There are plenty of teams around the NFL who could look to trade for him before then.

During the 2024 NFL season with Miami, Ramsey played in all 17 regular season games. He racked up 60 total tackles to go along with a sack, two interceptions, and 11 defended passes.
At 30 years old, Ramsey is still more than capable of playing at a No. 1 cornerback level. His numbers from last season would be a huge upgrade for quite a few teams around the NFL.
Which teams could make a play for Ramsey? Matt Levine of Newsweek has suggested the Kansas City Chiefs, Cincinnati Bengals, Los Angeles Rams, Arizona Cardinals, and Baltimore Ravens as potential teams to keep an eye on.
