3 Former Cowboys Players Arrested in Span of Days

The Dallas Cowboys are the most notorious team in the NFL, and that notoriety is often for good reason.

The team is by far the most popular in the league, with fans all over the country and even some pockets of the entire world. The Cowboy brand transcends the NFL and the sport of football, but the team hasn't been able to live up to their brand on the field in recent seasons.

Dallas is still seeking its first Super Bowl title since the 1990s, and they've been known to a new generation of fans for the team's ineptitude.

The Cowboys are back in the headlines this week, but it's for a reason that no fan would want to see.

Three former Cowboys players have been arrested in a span of three days, all for various legal issues.

Former defensive lineman Greg Hardy was reportedly arrested on Wednesday for allegedly assaulting a family member. Hardy played for the Cowboys during the 2015 season, joining the team after he was suspended following domestic violence charges.

On Saturday, ex-defensive back Adam "Pacman" Jones was reportedly arrested on Saturday and charged with both disorderly conduct and public intoxication. Jones spent the 2008 season with Dallas, but is best known for his time with the Cincinnati Bengals.

The former West Virginia Mountaineer was an All-Pro and Pro Bowl selection during his career.

Finally, former defensive back Kevin Joseph was arrested in connection to a fatal car accident on Saturday night. Authorities say that Joseph was driving the vehicle that struck a woman on a motorcycle, killing her.

Police say Saturday was at least the fourth time Jones has been arrested since 2021, and he's been charged with other crimes such as alcohol intoxication in a public place, disorderly conduct, and assault of a police officer or a probation officer.

Joseph was a second-round pick out of Kentucky in 2021, and spent his first two NFL seasons with the Cowboys. He appeared for the Miami Dolphins and Seattle Seahawks in addition to short training camp and practice squad stints with other teams.

He joined the United Football League's DC Defenders for the current season.

The Cowboys will now hope that they don't experience the same difficulties with their current players after three alumni were arrested in quick succession.
