The Jacksonville Jaguars didn't get much out of Gabe Davis last season.
But maybe the New Orleans Saints can help restore his value.
The Saints is expected to bring in the wide receiver for a visit, a source with knowledge of the situation confirmed. Davis hit the market in May after he was released just 14 months after signing a three-year, $39 million contract with the Jaguars.
The NFL Network was the first to report Davis' planned visit.
Davis was largely unproductive in Jacksonville, catching just 20 passes for 239 yards and two touchdowns in 10 games. But the 26-year-old was much more effective in Buffalo, where he spent the first four years of his career. With the Bills, Davis had 163 catches for 2,730 yards and 29 touchdowns in 64 games.
Saints general manager Mickey Loomis said in April that the team would still like to add at the position as the need went unaddressed during the NFL draft.
The Saints are the third known team to express interest in Davis, who is 6-foot-2 and 225 pounds. The 2020 fourth rounder has also visited the New York Giants and the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Davis is also coming off a meniscus injury.
