Nottingham Forest are going to be shopping in a different market this summer, with European football on the table for the first time in 30 years.
Forest finished seventh in the Premier League during 2024/25 and have now qualified for the UEFA Conference League for the first time in the club’s history.
Forest are landing Igor Jesus from Botafogo. The striker will enhance the club’s ranks after the Club World Cup and he might be joined by Cuiabano and Jair Cunha from the same club.
The Reds are also interested in one or two stellar recruits, and now, they’ve discovered the valuation for one of these particular targets ahead of the window getting into full swing.

Nottingham Forest told how much Douglas Luiz would cost
The midfielder looks to be on his way back to England following a season with Juventus, in which he has not really held down a place in their engine room.
Forest have been linked with Luiz since January, but ultimately, the player decided the best thing to do back then was to stick it out for five months.
Now, a departure looks almost nailed on, and after Forest were linked with teammate Nico Gonzalez, the Reds have discovered the valuation of Luiz too.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Luiz will cost Forest £34 million if they’re to persuade Juve into a sale, with the player likely to need the time to weigh up a City Ground switch.
MORE FOREST STORIES
Luiz is in his peak and, having helped Aston Villa reach the Champions League in 2023/24, he may feel as though he commands a club playing in that competition.
Forest might have a secret weapon to landing Luiz. Edu had two bids rejected for Luiz back in 2022 and he’s a huge fan of the midfielder who he clearly wants to sign for Forest.
Luiz would be a stellar signing for Forest
This would be a perfect addition to the Forest ranks and signing Luiz would give Forest a player with genuine quality in the Premier League and European football.
Furthermore, at 27-years-old, he fits the profile of a Forest signing nicely and he’d be arriving at the peak of his powers and not chasing one last pay day at the end of his career.
Luiz only played 19 times in Serie A last season and that simply won’t do for a player who will be wanting to add to his 18 Brazil caps ahead of the World Cup next year.
Forest can now get their head around the valuation and with Nicolas Dominguez injured, it could be the perfect time to swoop in for Luiz this summer.
