Everton could be in line to land Albert Gudmundsson as they ramp up their search for a striker.
The Toffees are working hard to deliver on David Moyes’ transfer requests as they look to start life at their new stadium on a positive note.
The Friedkin Group have offered their full support to their manager, and have already identified Manchester City duo Jack Grealish and John Stones as potential targets.
Everton could also make a move for Genoa forward Guðmundsson, and have been offered some encouragement in this hunt.

Gudmundsson has not been particularly prolific this campaign either, scoring just six goals in Serie A during his loan spell at Fiorentina. However, he did find the back of the net 14 times last season with his parent club, Genoa.
He has fallen out of favour with the North Italian side, and former Everton scout Bryan King – speaking exclusively to Goodison News – believes Everton could agree a cut-price deal for the striker, who Moyes would hold in high regard.
“I know Moyes likes Scandinavian players,” King said.
“He likes their honesty and the way they’re prepared to work. There’s never been a language barrier with players from that part of the world either.
“That sounds like it could be an interesting move, and I don’t think Everton would need to pay a massive fee to sign this player. I think this could be an exciting player for Everton to add to their squad.”

Everton must prioritise adding goals to their squad
Interest in Jarrad Branthwaite has dominated the discourse over Everton’s transfers this summer, but the Toffees’ main focus should still be on bringing lethal finishers to the club.
The fact that defender Michael Keane’s three goals put him joint-fourth in Everton’s Premier League goal scoring charts emphasises their needs, especially with Dominic Calvert-Lewin linked with a move away.
Bringing in strikers like Gudmundsson should be a priority, but the Blues should also target players across other positions who can also consistently contribute to finding the back of the net.
