Wolves left-back Rayan Ait-Nouri is close to completing a £31 million move to Manchester City.

The 24-year-old was due to have a medical at the club this weekend as the final stages of the deal, which includes £5m in add-ons, is concluded.

City would need to complete the transfer before tomorrow in order for Ait-Nouri to be available for the group stage of the Club World Cup.

Defender Craig Dawson and winger Pablo Sarabia will leave Wolves when their contracts expire at the end of June.

Carlos Forbs, who spent last season on loan at Vitor Pereira’s side from Ajax, is also set to depart and return to the Netherlands after the Molineux club released their retained list.

However, an offer has been made to captain Nelson Semedo for the defender to extend his five-year stay at the club.

The 43-cap Portugal international played in 34 of the team’s Premier League matches last season as they recovered from a poor start – which led to the sacking of boss Gary O’Neil – to eventually finish 16th.

Dawson departs having made 61 appearances since joining from West Ham in 2023, whilst former Paris St Germain player Sarabia leaves having scored eight goals in 77 games.

Eight members of the club’s academy will also leave having not been offered new deals though youth players Makenzie Bradbury, George Hardy, Minkyu Ji, Temple Ojinnaka and James Storer have all been offered terms.
