Report: Man Utd want to sign star tipped to win 2025 Ballon d'Or, he's spoken to teammates…

Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has reportedly been pondering a potential move to England amid interest from Manchester United and Manchester City.

Donnarumma's future is uncertain just days after helping PSG win the Champions League for the first time in the French club's history. The 26-year-old has a year left on his contract and has yet to agree on a renewal despite the Parisians' proposal.

French outlet L'Equipe reports that the Italian shot-stopper has been offered a deal that includes "a salary decrease with lucrative clauses based on games played". This fits into the wage structure put in place by advisor Luis Campos but could see their number one depart.

Donnarumma is currently away on international duty with Italy, but that hasn't stopped talk over his future. He's reportedly been discussing the possibility of a move to England with his national teammates.

That will be music to both Manchester clubs' ears as they monitor the frontrunner for the 2025 Yashin Trophy's situation at the Parc des Princes. Both are said to have "expressed interest" and could be on the lookout for new number ones this summer.

Andre Onana has failed to become the replacement United envisioned when bringing him in for David de Gea two summers ago. There are doubts over his future at Old Trafford amid a difficult spell plagued by constant mistakes.

Donnarumma didn't have much to do in PSG's 5-0 win over Inter Milan in the Champions League final but had caught the eye beforehand. Spectacular displays against Arsenal and Liverpool led to some Ballon d'Or shouts, including from Gary Lineker.

It's suggested that confidence is fading over the 73-cap Italy international penning a new deal with the French capital club. He's been in Paris since the summer of 2021, when he arrived as a free agent after leaving AC Milan.
