Scotland got off to a poor start by suffering a 3-1 home defeat to Iceland on Friday night.
Angus Gunn pulled up with an ankle injury just minutes into the encounter at Hampden.
Meanwhile, No.2 goalkeeper Robby McCrorie sustained a knock during the warm-up, which led to rookie keeper Cieran Slicker being called upon to step into the team.
The Ipswich youngster struggled, and as a result, has been pushed back down the pecking order by Clarke, with call-ups for Ross Doohan Callan McKenna.
However, Gunn and McCrorie weren't the only two players to pick up injuries on Friday evening.
Scott McTominay and Kieran Tierney have both been forced to withdraw from international duty due to fitness reasons, too.
An update from the official national team account on social media site X reads: "Squad update. Scott McTominay and Kieran Tierney both withdraw from the Scotland squad due to injury."
The duo will not be replaced ahead of the game today, which is set for a 5pm kick-off.
It's set to be the last game int he dugout for Scotland assistant manager John Carver, who is believed to be stepping down to focus on his own management career in Poland.
