Mikel Merino was a second half substitute in Spain's penalty shootout defeat against Portugal in the Nations League final in Munich.
After scoring in the dramatic 5-4 win over France in the semi-final, Mikel came on in the 75th minute for Fabian Ruiz as the contest ended 2-2 after extra-time.
Our midfielder scored Spain's first penalty of the shootout as La Roya lost 5-3 on spot kicks after Diogo Costa saved Alvaro Morata's effort.
**David Raya** was an unused substitute in the loss for Luis de la Fuente's side at the Allianz Arena.
**Declan Rice** was a second half substitute as England won 1-0 against Andorra in World Cup qualifying. Declan came on for Curtis Jones in the 81st minute with Harry Kane getting the only goal of the contest at the RCDE Stadium.
The result means Thomas Tuchel's side have won three games out of three in Group K.
Elsewhere, **Oleksandr Zinchenko** scored from the spot as his Ukraine side were defeated 4-2 by Canada in a friendly. A Jonathan David double plus goals from Promise David on debut and Tajon Buchanan put Canada 4-0 up on the night. Illya Zabarnyi then scored before our Ukrainian netted a consolation in stoppage time.
