Leeds United may have been handed the perfect solution for Jack Harrison’s future.

The Whites star has spent the last two seasons on loan at Everton, notching a dismal four goals and three assists in 63 matches for the Goodison Park outfit.

The 28-year-old is set to return to Daniel Farke’s side after the Blues decided against making his deal permanent, and it remains to be seen whether he will be part of the German’s squad going forward.

Harrison set for Leeds exit after Rangers claim made

Harrison is widely expected to depart Elland Road after his two years on loan in the Premier League.

Writing in the print edition of the Daily Record (9 June, page 46), Scott McDermott has predicted a potential dream starting line-up for new Rangers boss Russell Martin.

The journalist states that the Light Blues need a new right winger and their connections with the Yorkshiremen, through Marathe and the 49ers, could make the Whites’ star a possible option.

He said: “If he is not part of Daniel Farke’s plans, Ibrox could beckon.”

Rangers move makes sense for Leeds and Harrison

It is safe to say that Harrison’s career has stalled in his time with David Moyes’ side, and he may need a fresh start to get back to his best.

Farke is unlikely to want to reintegrate the ex-Manchester City youth star as he scored just one goal in the top-flight last season, which suggests he will have a limited impact on their survival bid.

The Yorkshire outfit have Dan James and are pushing to re-sign Manor Solomon after his fantastic loan spell in the Championship, so the former New York City FC man would be second-string at best in Farke’s plans, if he is even in them at all at this point.

A move to Ibrox, which Marathe and Co could help facilitate, would be a good deal for all parties.

Harrison can enjoy his football again and thrive in the Scottish Premiership, helping the Light Blues to catch Celtic after years of dominance.

Meanwhile, the Peacocks get a decent fee and can use it to reinvest in the squad to bolster their attempts to stay at the elite level for longer than just one season.
