After recently holding discussions with Liverpool, Victor Osimhen is still determined to move to the Premier League this summer, TBR Football understands.
Victor Osimhen scored 37 goals in 41 games for Galatasaray on loan from Napoli last season, form that has caught the attention of clubs like Liverpool.
In an ideal world, Liverpool would love to sign Alexander Isak from Newcastle United in the coming months.
But as a possible alternative, Liverpool are interested in Osimhen, a striker who is also on Manchester United’s radar.
Man United are still keen on Osimhen, who could perhaps spearhead their new-look attack alongside Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo.
Victor Osimhen rejects Saudi Pro League move amid Liverpool interest
That being said, sources have confirmed to TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey that Liverpool and Man United both held talks with Osimhen’s camp last month.
Chelsea were also in the mix previously, but Enzo Maresca’s side have not progressed with their interest.

Osimhen has no future at Napoli, who are keen to secure as big a deal as possible for the striker this summer.
The 26-year-old has a £63m release clause which Saudi Pro League side Al-Hilal were willing to meet.
However, Osimhen’s preference has always been to move to England and that has been confirmed by his decision to reject a move to Saudi Arabia at this point.
It’s understood that the Pro League remain keen and they could yet return for Osimhen later in the summer.
But the Nigeria international is currently looking at his options in Europe, with a move to the Premier League emerging as a clear preference.
Premier League emerging as a serious option for Osimhen
As mentioned, Osimhen spent last season on loan at Galatasaray and the Super Lig winners would love to bring him back to Istanbul.
However, TBR Football understands that interest remains from England, and whilst Napoli would be open to a deal, they would want in excess of £50m.
Of course, there has been a lot of talk about Osimhen’s lofty wages whenever a move to England has been mentioned.
However, the striker doesn’t believe that his wage demands are excessive and a move to the Premier League is seen as a serious option.
Osimhen has already amassed over 100 goals playing in Europe’s top competitions and a move to England could now finally be on the radar.
