While Rayan Cherki seems keen to sign for Manchester City, Pep Guardiola’s men still have work to do to seal his arrival from Lyon.
Lyon rejected Manchester City’s bid to sign Cherki for £19 million a few days ago.
However, Cherki confirmed he is set to join City, which indicates that he cannot wait for both clubs to strike an agreement.
The 21-year-old is the French giants’ most prized asset and as a result, they perhaps are unwilling to let him go until the Sky Blues meet their financial demands.

Rayan Cherki sets deadline for when he wants to join Man City
Cherki is keen to play under Pep Guardiola and in the meantime, all he can do is wait for the transfer to become official.
The Lyon creator would be excited about the prospect of showing fans and pundits alike why he is a special player in the most-watched division in the world.
Cherki aims to join Manchester City by Tuesday before the deadline of the first installment of the transfer window is open.
Otherwise, the Frenchman will be unable to partake in the group stage of the FIFA Club World Cup, a competition where he will be hoping to familiarise himself with his teammates and Manchester City’s system.
