Leeds United’s Junior Firpo and Aston Villa’s Àlex Moreno are among the options for Real Betis this summer.
Last Wednesday, we covered claims from Spain which stated Real Betis are considering whether to sign the Leeds player or the 32-year-old, who left the La Liga club for Aston Villa in January 2023.
The Dominican Republic international also had a spell at Real Betis and his contract with the Whites expires on June 30th.
El Desmarque report the Leeds United and Aston Villa players, along with Atlético Madrid’s Javi Galán, are the three left-back targets for Real Betis.
The 28-year-old Leeds defender is one of the likelier candidates to join the Andalusian club. The report adds they have also held talks with Moreno and explored the possibility of signing Galán.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side are in advanced discussions to strengthen the left-back position.
El Desmarque end their report by stating: ‘Talks are advanced, work at Betis continues unabated, and unless everything takes a drastic turn, the green light could be given in the coming hours for the second signing of the season.’
If it’s Moreno they choose, they have to find an agreement with Aston Villa, which may not be difficult. He spent the season on loan at Nottingham Forest and is unlikely be part of Unai Emery’s side next season.
