Even those who haven’t played under Vitor Pereira have a high opinion of the Wolves manager.
Pereira arrived at Molineux in December when the pressure couldn’t have been higher.
Gary O’Neil had driven his Wolves squad into a relegation battle, seeing Pereira take the reins when the Old Gold were five points from safety.
Fortunately, Pereira turned everything around to kickstart the 2024/25 campaign in the West Midlands, earning the trust of his players and supporters.

Yerson Mosquera shares honest verdict on Vitor Pereira
Several Wolves players have spoken about Pereira’s impact after the Portuguese coach succeeded O’Neil, with everyone sharing positive reviews of the boss.
The latest person to speak up about the Wolves manager is a player who is yet to feature in one of his squads.
After impressing in pre-season and at the start of the 2024/25 calendar, Yerson Mosquera became a firm part of O’Neil’s plans.
The Colombian’s season ended after he sustained an ACL injury on matchday five, but that hasn’t stopped Mosquera from feeling the love from Pereira.

“He’s a good coach. He gave confidence to everyone, I think that is really important, because he has the group together,” the centre-back told Wolves’ official website.
“For me, it’s good if he stays a long time and I can do better with him – I have this thing in my head.”
Mosquera is stepping up his recovery ahead of the start of pre-season and expressed his desperation to make his presence known to the new manager.
“Now I need to be back to see how he works, how I can help him, and the most important thing is he will help me, that one is 100 per cent. He’s a good coach. I think the next season we will do better, and we’ll do a good step.”
Interestingly, Mosquera has been linked with a loan for the 2025/26 season, but the player’s latest comments suggest he’s eager to stay.

Mosquera’s injury came at the worst time
Wolves fans were absolutely devastated by Mosquera’s injury, as after such an impressive start to the season, the Colombia international’s campaign was brought to a screeching halt.
Now, the defender is eager to return as he left, displaying that he has the quality to offer something fresh to Wolves’ back line.
It was such a shame to see the 24-year-old have to watch from afar as Pereira took charge, but the boss is more than aware of what the player can contribute.
Given links to a loan, it remains to be seen what Pereira has up his sleeve for Mosquera, in what is set to be a fascinating summer for the star.
