Chelsea fighting to sign player–He makes transfer threat via agents

The Chelsea and Mike Maignan saga has been building over the past few days, with it looking increasingly like a transfer will happen.

The Blues are thought to be nearing a move for the goalkeeper, who is leaning towards the transfer over staying at AC Milan and playing under new manager Massimiliano Allegri.

L’Equipe report the 29-year-old is ‘determined’ to join Chelsea and is clear about hos he sees his future.

Despite Allegri wanting to keep him, he/s seeking a departure and has already told Milan, via his agents, that if he is not sold he will depart the club on a free transfer when his contract expires in the summer of 2026.

The Rossoneri and Chelsea are still negotiating a fee for the permanent switch.

As of Sunday, no agreement was reached but the Blues are trying hard to make sure the move materialises before they fly to the United States to play in the Club World Cup.
