**When Manchester City are eyeing you for a transfer to replace one of their most successful players, you know you're doing something right.**
Newcastle United defender Tino Livramento is said to be high on Pep Guardiola's wishlist this summer as he looks to replace Kyle Walker, but prising the £32 million former Southampton man away from the Toon isn't going to be easy.
Tino Livramento was signed as the successor to Kieran Trippier as they were deemed to be similar players, and while Livramento could still improve in the attacking third, he has managed a few impressive assists this season, which does show improvement.
Livramento also has versatility on his side, having filled in on the left side of the back four in the absence of his best mate, Lewis Hall, and he took to the new role like a duck to water.
Lee Carsley is a huge fan of Tino Livramento

It's no shock to anyone, really, that Tino is being eyed by Pep Guardiola, and it seems it's certainly no shock to England U21 boss Lee Carsley, who has been waxing lyrical about the 22-year-old as he gears up to defend the U21 European Championship.
> “He’s a top player. An excellent player. Tino’s had some injuries in the past which have held him back. Without those injuries, I think he’d have been a lot further ahead now than where he is in terms of pushing for a senior position. So, he’s highly-rated both on and off the pitch.“The fact that he can play two, three positions (is a big bonus). I remember the first camp I ever had with Tino was an Under-20s one and I might have played him on the right wing.”“He always turns up with so much enthusiasm. We’ve tried to help him as much as we can when he’s here as well, in terms of when things haven’t been going so well for him.

> “We’ve still picked him and still tried to give him game time. He fully deserves to be here, and I expect him to have a massive future with the senior team.”
We can't see Eddie Howe sanctioning a move for Tino Livramento
--------------------------------------------------------------
Many Newcastle fans were shocked when Tino was left out of Thomas Tuchel's most recent England squad, but it seems the German had left a few players out who were still eligible for the U21s to allow Lee Carsley to pick the strongest squad to defend their title.
As for Manchester City, that link feels like one that's going to linger, but as we said yesterday, we can't see a world in which Eddie Howe sanctions that sale. Especially now that he won't have a director of football to answer to when Paul Mitchell leaves at the end of the month.
Unless Manchester City produce an insane amount of money to make the move happen, we don't see Tino leaving us this summer.
