That means that Moyes will want to strengthen his midfield and has joined the race to sign Getafe’s Christantus Uche, according to Estadio Deportivo (9 June).

However, the 22-year-old is a wanted man and has interest from Newcastle, Brentford, Chelsea and Leeds United.

Getafe are thought to be willing to negotiate Uche’s sale, while he has a release clause of £21.04million.

However, the Nigerian’s agent played down links with a move away from La Liga prior to interest from the Toffees.

Everton must find Abdoulaye Doucoure replacement

While players like Coleman, Gueye, and Calvert-Lewin could stay at Everton, Doucoure’s departure has been confirmed.

The Frenchman has been one of the Toffees’ strongest performers over the years and will leave a hole in attacking-midfield.

A move for Uche would make sense, given that he plays the same position and has vast potential at 22 years of age.

Uche has been a first-team regular for Getafe and notched 10 goal contributions in 33 league appearances.

Whether it is Uche or somebody else, Moyes must attain a replacement for Doucoure.
