Manchester United’s goalkeeper search is heating up as The Red Devils shortlist a range of targets to replace Andre Onana as the club’s first-choice goalkeeper, now turning to one of PSG’s shot-stoppers.
Unfortunately, Onana isn’t providing Ruben Amorim with the confidence that he’s a reliable option to lead the club as their top goalkeeper.
As such, United’s recruitment team are desperate to find a player for the club to upgrade from the problematic shot-stopper.
In their search, United have recently turned to Lucas Chevalier of LOSC Lille who’s tipped to succeed Mike Maignan as France’s first choice keeper.
The 23-year-old has risen through the LOSC Lille academy, however they aren’t the only side targeting him.
Local rivals Manchester City are looking to Chevalier, alongside Ligue 1 and Champions League champions PSG.
The French side are looking to the 23-year-old to succeed Gianluigi Donnarumma who’s set to leave this summer.

However, Get Football News France has now reported that United are also looking to Donnarumma as a potential signing in place of Chevalier.
Whist PSG appear to be leading the race for Chevalier after contract renewal conversations with Donnarumma have come to a standstill, leading to the goalkeeper set for sale this summer.
With his contract ending next summer, the current transfer window marks PSG’s final chance to cash in on the Italian goalkeeper before risking losing him on a free transfer.
It’s understood that in a bid to avoid missing out on a sale, PSG have put a surprisingly low £34 million price tag on their prized goalkeeper, which could fit in United’s limited transfer budget.
However, similarly to Chevalier, Donnarumma is finding himself in the middle of Manchester United and Manchester City with both clubs desperate for a new keeper this summer.
