**Imagine how hard it must be to be a footballer during the transfer window. Your name appearing in the papers every day, constant questions from the media and then there's posting literally anything on social media.**

As Newcastle United continue to be linked with a move for Nottingham Forest winger Anthony Elanga, the Sweden international is right in the middle of all of this madness.

Newcastle reportedly bid £50 million on deadline day last summer for the former Manchester United man, which was rebuffed by Nottingham Forest, and now, a year later, after missing out on primary target Bryan Mbeumo, the Magpies are ready to swoop again.

It's expected that the fee will still be around £50 million if Newcastle want to sign the 23-year-old.

Anthony Elanga has withdrawn from the Swedish international camp

----------------------------------------------------------------

Elanga has been away with the Swedish national team, but due to 'personal reasons', he will withdraw from the squad before their next game, something which Sweden gaffer Jon Dahl Tomasson says was arranged a while ago.

Should Elanga be returning to England, though, it could make things a bit easier for Newcastle to get a deal done.

In the meantime, Elanga has caused quite the stir on social media with a simple two-word comment on [Will Osula's Instagram.](https://www.instagram.com/p/DKkh3QpIF5b/?img_index=16)

Anthony Elanga and Will Osula are good friends

----------------------------------------------

The Scandinavian duo are good friends, and Osula, who is out in New York, had posted a gallery to his Instagram on which Elanga commented "My Boy".

At the time of writing, there are 31 replies to Elanga's post, and most of them are Newcastle fans begging him to join the club this summer.

At least he'll know he'll be loved here. But imagine just trying to show a bit of love to your mate and getting piled on about work. What a life. They don't get paid enough for this ... oh hang on.
