Newcastle United continue to be linked with rescuing Jack Grealish from his Manchester City nightmare.
The England international looks destined to change clubs this summer, and it has been claimed that Newcastle United could move for Grealish.
The £100million player would be a marquee arrival at St James’ Park, with Grealish urged to leave Manchester City before the summer transfer window closes.
Newcastle United’s stance on signing Jack Grealish
A transfer to Tyneside would create a lot of buzz, but the Magpies are only going to make a move if a deal suits them financially.

According to the Northern Echo, Eddie Howe’s side will consider signing Grealish if a deal is ‘favourable’ in terms of finances.
The report adds that while Newcastle United are being kept informed about Grealish’s situation, there are currently no plans to make an official offer.
It is difficult to envision the terms being ‘favourable’ enough for the Magpies to make a move. This is a 29-year-old player who cost £100million four years ago and is rumoured to earn £300,000-a-week.
Newcastle should target Manchester City’s James McAtee instead
If Newcastle United really want to sign someone from Manchester City then they should forget about Grealish and swoop in for his teammate James McAtee.

He is another player that looks set to leave Man City, with McAtee valued at £25million.
It has been reported by the Telegraph that Eddie Howe is a fan of McAtee, and he would be a much smarter addition than Grealish.
While McAtee is not at Grealish’s level right now, he is much more suitable for the Magpies.
Firstly, he actually plays in positions where Newcastle want reinforcements. He can operate either as a central midfielder or on the right of attack, which has to make him appealing to Howe.
In contrast, Grealish either operates as a left winger or an attacking midfielder, which is not on Newcastle’s transfer agenda.
Age also has to be taken into consideration. While Grealish is 29-years-old, McAtee, who has been called ‘special’ by Pep Guardiola (MEN), is only 22-years-old. He would be brought in because of his potential and scope to get better, whereas Grealish has been the finished article for a long time and merely needs a fresh start.
At a time when Sean Longstaff and Joe Willock could leave, Newcastle may have to strengthen in the middle of the park. McAtee can provide that, and is a much better fit for Howe than Grealish. He is the Manchester City player who they should be targeting.
