Four-way battle: Man United'among PL clubs'chasing Roma defender

Manchester United are reportedly interested in Roma defender Evan N' Dicka.

Beating Aston Villa on the final day of the Premier League campaign at Old Trafford, the Red Devils managed a measly 15th-placed finish in the standings.

Man United will be without European football during the 2025-26 campaign following their defeat to Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League final.

Despite struggling during his first period in charge at the Theatre of Dreams, Ruben Amorim is expected to remain at the helm over the summer.

Whilst a Premier League title charge appears light years away, Man United will surely be targeting a return to the top six next season.

Man United join four-club N'Dicka race?

According to CaughtOffside, Manchester United are looking to bolster their defensive options ahead of a domestic-based 2025-26 term.

The report states that the struggling Red Devils are keen on securing the services of Roma and Ivory Coast star N'Dicka during the summer window.

However, Amorim's men are not alone in their fondness of the centre-back, with Europa League winners Tottenham eyeing up a deal for the player.

Two further Premier League outfits have been credited with an interest in N'Dicka: Eddie Howe's Newcastle United and Conference League-competing Nottingham Forest.

Arsenal have been linked with a move for the 25-year-old in the past, however it is believed that the Gunners are not currently in pursuit of his signature.

Man United's defensive needs

With Amorim standing by his 3-4-3 system, having a wide range of defensive options will be key for Man United during the 2025-26 term.

Victor Lindelof is approaching the end of his Red Devils contract and is expected to depart, whilst Lisandro Martinez has struggled with injury problems.

The arrival of N'Dicka at the Theatre of Dreams would provide extra competition in the centre-back ranks of the 20-time English champions.
