Manchester United may be hoping that Chelsea can complete a £50 million transfer this summer, with the move having a domino effect on other possible transfers.

United have already been active in the transfer window, completing the £62.5 million move for Matheus Cunha. They are also actively pursuing a deal for Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo with a deal possibly costing around £60 million.

Ruben Amorim is keen to add further to his squad over the coming weeks as he prepares for his first full season in charge of the club. But the business that can be done may come down to the sales that the club manage to make.

One player who is expected to leave this summer is Jadon Sancho. The winger will return to Old Trafford after a loan spell with Chelsea.

The Blues did have an obligation to buy Sancho for a fee of around £25 million as part of the loan agreement. However, they instead opted to pay a £5 million penalty and not sign him permanently.

It means that the winger is again looking for a new home. He has had two successful spells at Borussia Dortmund, and Sky Sports report that the German side are again showing an interest in the England international.

However, they may only make a move if they sell winger Jamie Gittens this summer. This is where Chelsea could help, with the Blues making a move for the England youth international.

Sky Sports%20for%20the%20forward.) report that Chelsea have made an initial offer of £29.5 million for Gittens but have seen that turned down by Dortmund. The German side are reported to want a much higher fee of up to £50 million for the player.

Chelsea are however expected to return with an improved bid with negotiations between the two clubs continue. Gittens himself is said to be keen on a move to Chelsea.

If a fee is agreed and Gittens moves to Stamford Bridge, then Dortmund may firm up their interest in Sancho. That would be good news for United as they look to boost their funds in the transfer window.
