We spent two minutes with Kenton to learn more about his background, his creative inspirations and recent work he’s admired.

Where did you grow up, and where do you live now?

What is your earliest sports memory?

Going to a Richmond Braves game. I still have the schedule card I got that day.

Aside from the one you work for, who are some of your favorite sports team(s)?

I am a huge supporter of all things Oregon Athletics. I graduated from the University of Oregon and still find myself rooting for them in every sport. Go Ducks.

Favorite athlete(s).

Growing up I became a big David Justice fan. Had a chance to watch him come up in the minors and then follow his career in the MLB.

What is your favorite sports movie and/or show?

Movie: A tie between Major League and The Sandlot.

What is your favorite sports podcast or news show?

I am a long-time listener to This Week in Tech. I don’t think I have missed more than a handful of episodes since it launched in 2005.

Your favorite sports video game, if you have one.

Past: The game I logged the most hours in my life with is Tecmo Super Bowl III. Present: College Football 25.

What is a recent project you’re proud of?

I was proud of the work our team did when we launched our throwback uniform a few seasons ago. It was a huge effort and saw a lot of people go all out in making something special.

Someone else’s work that you admired recently.

The design assets the Seattle Sounders implemented for the Salish Sea Kit a few months ago.

What sports can do that nothing else can.

Bring people together.

What you’d be doing if you weren’t in the sports space.

Something with tech—wishing I could work in sports.
