England legend Stuart Pearce has suggested that Harvey Elliott should make the move to West Ham this summer, with the Liverpool star considering his future at Anfield.
Elliott struggled for minutes in Arne Slot’s first season in charge, and he may well find opportunities even harder to come by next season with a deal for Florian Wirtz looking to be in the works.
With that in mind, Elliott has hinted he may choose to leave Liverpool in order to find more game time, with the England U21 international having already been linked with a host of clubs over the past year or so.
Borussia Dortmund has been touted as a possible destination, while Elliott was also suggested as a makeweight in the deal to bring Wirtz to Anfield, although recent reports in Germany have claimed Bayer Leverkusen is not considering the 22-year-old.
Pearce thinks there is an option closer to home for Elliott though, with the former West Ham coach suggesting a move to London could be the ideal fit.
When the idea of a move to West Ham was floated during an appearance on talkSPORT, Pearce responded: “Right every day for me, on both counts.
“The player needs to play. When [Jurgen] Klopp left, he said: 'I should have played Harvey Elliott a bit more'. That was one of the statements he made.

“He identified the talent of him and identified that he didn't play him enough. He hasn't played enough this year once again.
“I think that would be a good move for both parties. Right."
Although Elliott has insisted he doesn’t want to leave Liverpool, he has dropped a few hints in recent weeks that he could consider an exit this summer.
"It's just a situation that me and the team have to have a conversation about because I'm coming into an age now where I'm 22, I'm going to be 23 next season," he said while away with England U21s this week.

"I don't really want to be wasting years on my career because it's a short career. You don't know what's going to happen.
"I need to reflect. I need to see if I'm content in doing what I'm doing and how can I improve as a player because that's the most important thing.
"I just want to improve and be the best possible version of myself. If that's to go somewhere else, then it's a decision that I'm going to have to make and I just need to see what happens.
"Nothing makes me want to leave. I love the club, I love the fans, the team. I support them as well. But most importantly, it's just about what's best for my career."
