Top Pitching Performance of the Week
This was a great week for Milwaukee’s pitching staff, as they allowed just 13 runs in 53 innings of work (2.21 team ERA), with the worst start of the week being Freddy Peralta’s three-run outing against the Reds on Tuesday. Even so, I’ll pick him as the pitcher of the week, as he went six scoreless innings against the Padres on Sunday. Overall, he went 12 frames in his two starts, allowing three runs and striking out 12.
Honorable mentions to Chad Patrick (6 IP, 1 ER, 6 K), Quinn Priester (5 IP, 1 ER, 4 K), and the bullpen combo of Jared Koenig, Aaron Ashby, Abner Uribe, DL Hall, and Nick Mears (combined 13 IP, 0 ER, 19 K).
Top Hitting Performance of the Week
Isaac Collins had one of the quietest fantastic weeks this year, as he appeared in all six games but amassed just nine at-bats. Even so, he went 3-for-9 with a homer, four RBIs, two runs scored, and six walks, slashing .333/.600/.667. Oh, and he made this play look easy (and ranks as the top player in the league in jumps, per The WARmonger):
You didn't notice this play, did you? Not a single request. Makes sense, he didn't even need to dive.
35% catch probability. Isaac Collins is #1 in the league in jumps, leading PCA and Rafaela by nearly two feet. His jump on this ball was +11.7 feet above average, just… pic.twitter.com/Xpi7IhovVs

Honorable mention to Sal Frelick, who hit .300/.364/.450 with a homer and team-high six knocks.
Injury Notes & Roster Moves
RHP Brandon Woodruff suffered yet another setback in what was supposed to be his second “last rehab start” of the season, taking a liner off his throwing arm. Luckily, X-rays came back negative, but he was returned to the 15-day IL with a “bruised right elbow.” Per Adam McCalvy, the expectation is that this pushes Woodruff’s return back a couple of weeks, meaning we could hope to see him by late June.
LHP Tyler Alexander, who was designated for assignment last Sunday, cleared waivers and declared free agency. He signed with the Chicago White Sox on Sunday.
OF Drew Avans was claimed off waivers from the Athletics on Sunday and added as the 40th player on the 40-man roster. It appears it’s purely a depth move, as the Brewers have dealt with outfield injuries both at the major league level and at Triple-A Nashville. He was optioned to Nashville.
