Jadon Sancho tipped to join Champions League club this summer where he could face Marcus Rashford

Ineos will be desperate to find a new club for Jadon Sancho after his return to Manchester United.

After a public fallout with Erik ten Hag, Jadon Sancho was loaned to Chelsea and Manchester United thought they had finally seen the last of the winger.

However, it then became clear that Chelsea had a £5m penalty clause for Sancho which would cancel their buy option and return him to Manchester this summer.

Following talks over his personal terms, Sancho’s move to Chelsea collapsed and now he is set to return to Carrington at the end of the month.

Ineos will be keen to find a new buyer for Jadon Sancho, and it has been suggested that a move to Spain could be on the cards.

Spanish club is perfect for Jadon Sancho this summer

Chelsea had the option to buy Sancho for £25m this summer and that is the price tag that Ineos will stick to when negotiating with other clubs.

Reports suggest Borussia Dortmund have inquired about Sancho, but The Athletic claim that a move to Spain could be on the cards.

After analysing Sancho’s style of play at both United and Chelsea, the report claims a move to Spanish side Villarreal would be ideal for the 25-year-old winger.

Villarreal’s left-sided winger Alex Baena could leave the La Liga club this summer, meaning they will be on the lookout for a replacement.

Sancho’s wages could pose a problem for Villarreal, but their qualification to the Champions League in 2025/26 means they will have funds available to spend.

Jadon Sancho could face Marcus Rashford next season

Sancho is certainly not the only player United are trying to offload this summer, with Marcus Rashford also expected to leave.

Rashford is pushing to join Barcelona, although the Spanish giants could struggle to afford United’s £40 million asking price.

United are now open to loaning Rashford to Barcelona next season, and if Sancho completes a move to Spain, the two forwards could face each other in La Liga next season.

They could even be joined by Antony, who has been thriving at Real Betis since making a loan move to the Spanish side last summer.

Betis want to sign Antony permanently, but once again his wages and a £40m asking price makes things complicated.
