CUMBRIAN goalkeeper Scott Carson has left Manchester City after six years, the Premier League club has announced.
The 39-year-old shotstopper, from Cleator Moor, will leave Pep Guardiola's Manchester City upon the expiry of his contract this summer.
The experienced goalkeeper, whose 21-year professional career has included spells at Liverpool, Aston Villa, Wigan Athletic, and Derby County, initially joined Manchester City on loan from the Rams in 2019, before joining City permanently on a free transfer in the summer of 2021.
The Cumbrian goalkeeper made his debut for Guardiola's Manchester City in May 2021, in a victory against Newcastle United, before making a second appearance in the UEFA Champions League round of 16 against Sporting CP.
