Facing a potential 0-2 hole at home, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander delivered another signature performance to lift the Thunder to a 123-107 victory over the Pacers, tying the NBA Finals at 1-1. Gilgeous-Alexander poured in 34 points on 52.4 percent shooting, along with eight assists, four steals, and a block in a game that demanded his best. He now holds the record for the most points ever scored across a player’s first two Finals games with 72, surpassing Allen Iverson.
SGA’s poise and timing proved decisive. With OKC clinging to a slight lead in the second quarter, he triggered a 19-2 run by scoring seven points in just over a minute. The burst pushed the lead to 23 and put the game out of reach. He added 19 points and four assists in the second half before leaving to a standing ovation.

Thunder depth made its mark as well. Alex Caruso scored 20 off the bench, becoming the first OKC reserve to do so in the Finals since James Harden in 2012. Aaron Wiggins added 18, hitting five threes. Chet Holmgren and Jalen Williams rounded out the scoring with 15 and 19 points. The Thunder never trailed again after their second-quarter blitz, showing championship mettle and elite balance.
