A decade since he first arrived at Man City, Kevin De Bruyne has all but rubber stamped his next move — and contract details have now been reported.

The Belgian midfielder, who was signed by Manuel Pellegrini from VfL Wolfsburg in 2015, has flourished over the last 10 years, winning six Premier League titles, five League Cups, two FA Cups, as well as the UEFA Champions League.

Tears were shed and jaws left aghast when it was announced the 33-year-old would be leaving the Eithad at the end of his current contract, and as such speculation regarding where he would end up ensued.

Despite reports linking De Bruyne to the likes of Saudi Arabia, a return to Belgium, or perhaps a rival top flight club, the player has reportedly instead chosen the reigning Scudetto champions, Napoli.

The Italian outfit wrapped up the Serie A title on the final day of the season, with former Manchester United duo Scott McTominay and Romelu Lukaku scoring the two goals against Cagliari to seal top spot at the expense of Inter Milan.

Now their manager, Antonio Conte, is hoping to make this the start of an era of dominance by signing a number of big name players; the first being City's De Bruyne.

To prize the player away from the competition, however, they had to make the two-time Premier League Player of the Season an offer he could not refuse, and if recent reports are to be believed it looks like they did just that.

According to Il Mattino, De Bruyne will sign a two year contract with an option for an additional year, while his salary will be £4.2million (€5million) per season.

It is reported the midfielder will undergo medical tests on Tuesday and Wednesday before being unveiled officially as a Napoli player.

This didn't stop Liverpool star Mohamed Salah from trying to convince him to make the switch to Anfield in an interview with Sky Sports, jokingly adding at the end: "We have space for him".

The curtain will be brought down on Kevin De Bruyne's time at Man City at the end of June, and then a new dawn breaks for the Sky Blues legend.
