Aaron Ramsdale faces another transfer scare after Chelsea rejection

West Ham is far from having concrete transfer inclinations for Saints star Aaron Ramsdale.

Remember the initial Aaron Ramsdale transfer speculation a few weeks ago? Given his consistent heroic performances for Southampton, the keeper was expected to be the first one to leave the Saints this summer.

In fact, even Ramsdale's ultimate matchday performance against Arsenal hinted at other clubs and especially, London outfits to pursue him to remind rivals Arsenal of their mistake in departing the star keeper.

But while the idea seemed perfect on paper, it’s fallen flat in reality. And instead of transfer offers, Ramsdale has been greeted with rejections more often.

Days ago, Chelsea decided to move ahead of the Saints No. 1, leaving him with reduced options. But now, the keeper is facing yet another cold shoulder, this time coming from London club West Ham.

Hammers cool down their Aaron Ramsdale interest

Though the Hammers' interest in pursuing Ramsdale has been known since the winter window, the club has pulled back both feet now.

That's because while Graham Potter's side remains interested in a keeper signing, their Ramsdale interest has cooled drastically.

In the words of Saints Extra(via journalist Jacob Steinberg): "West Ham want to sign a goalkeeper this summer but are ‘lukewarm’ when it comes to Southampton’s Aaron Ramsdale."

Needless to say, that comes as a sheer disappointment for Ramsdale, who despite convincing some of the football's greatest this season, has ended up losing again and again.

But, Southampton? Well, they have mixed reactions to the update. While many fans would be pitiful for the exceptional performer, this surely excites those who dream of seeing Ramsdale continuing at St. Mary's.

Yet, despite recent setbacks, Ramsdale feels too good to be turned down a Premier League continual. That's why, with many wealthy suitors in the market, Ramsdale feels guaranteed a summer switch, even if it comes on the deadline day like last year.

So, while it's been around 12 months with fate denying Ramsdale multiple times, it could all change for him soon. That being said, let's see how soon this happens.
