Jalen Williams Believes Thunder Have Yet To Play Its ‘Best Basketball’

The Oklahoma City Thunder looked like the best team in the league on Sunday night, beating the Indiana Pacers in Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

It was an important and impressive bounce-back win for the Thunder, whose hearts were broken at the end of Game 1 thanks to Tyrese Haliburton.

OKC was playing great basketball, but was it their best?

Speaking to Malika Andrews after the game, Jalen Williams sent a message to the Pacers: the Thunder haven’t reached their peak yet.

“I don’t think so,” Williams said. “I don’t think you ever wanna limit yourself. I think tonight, we did enough to win games. Obviously, on the road, it’s definitely a different mentality. They came in and stole one here, so they’re definitely going back home with a lot of confidence. We gotta be ready to compete a lot harder than we did in these last two games for sure.”

The Thunder built a lead and kept it on Sunday, not allowing the Pacers to sneak back in like they did in Game 1.

They were in complete control and want to keep it that way moving into Game 3.

Williams noted that they lost a home game, which hurt badly.

But now they want to head to Indiana and do the same thing.

On both ends of the court, the Thunder showed why they are so fearsome, and the Pacers just weren’t able to keep up.

But Williams swears his team has more to give, and they want to.

The Thunder are so accomplished because of their offense, defense, and individual players, but their confidence is also one of their secret powers.

They clearly think they can achieve more, and that should scare the Pacers.
