Jelert’s career stats
Speaking exclusively to Goodison News, Dr Brar, a specialist in Physical Therapy and a Sports Scientist, said about Jelert: “Everton may take a closer look at his recurring knee injuries, along with multiple periods needed to build fitness.
“It certainly is something to be careful about and also the fact that adapting to the Premier League would be another challenge.
“Missing two months at a stretch isn’t a good sign.”

Everton must steer clear of Jelert this summer
Everton should avoid signing Jelert due to his concerning injury record and lacklustre attacking output, which misaligns with Moyes’ tactical demands for dynamic full-backs.
Dr Brar highlighted the defender’s recurring knee injuries and multiple periods spent regaining fitness, noting a two-month absence as a red flag.
These issues raise doubts about his durability in the physically demanding Premier League.
Furthermore, Jelert’s career stats with only six assists in nearly 150 games are underwhelming for a modern full-back expected to contribute offensively.
Moyes’ system relies on full-backs to provide width and creativity.
Jelert’s limited assist tally and injury concerns make him a risky investment, especially under PSR constraints.
Everton would be better served targeting a more reliable, attack-minded full-back to bolster their squad.
