Shai Gilgeous-Alexander Makes NBA Playoff History With Impressive Hot Streak

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander posted 34 points, five rebounds, and eight assists for his Oklahoma City Thunder on Sunday night’s Game 2 of the NBA Finals.

Everyone was blown away by his output but not that surprised.

That’s because, according to Real Sports, Gilgeous-Alexander has been putting up monster numbers like that for a while.

He now has nine straight home games with 30+ points in this postseason.

That is the longest streak in a single playoff run in all of NBA history, further cementing just how incredible this season has been for Gilgeous-Alexander.

It is important to note that even though he has been scoring more than 30 in all these games, he hasn’t been winning nonstop.

For example, he put up 38 points, five rebounds, and three assists during Game 1 against the Indiana Pacers, and the Thunder lost.

This should slightly ease the fears of Pacers fans, who feel there is just no getting past Gilgeous-Alexander.

They know they are playing against the hottest star in the league right now, someone who will put up strong stats no matter if his team wins or loses.

He will always be a threat, and the Pacers just have to accept that.

Multiple teams have tried to get the best of Gilgeous-Alexander during the playoffs, and some have scored impressive and surprising victories.

But no one has been able to outlast the Thunder, partly because their star player is so reliable.

What will Gilgeous-Alexander produce in Game 3, as his team heads to Indiana and attempts to steal a game on the road?

It seems that at least 30 points are guaranteed, but how far beyond that can he go?
