Manchester United’s goalkeeping situation remains a source of concern heading into the summer window.
Since arriving in 2023, Andre Onana has faced scrutiny over inconsistent performances and high-profile errors, in Premier League and in Europe.

While Onana has shown flashes of quality, this season has not silenced the calls from fans demanding a more assured presence between the sticks.
Many have urged the club to act decisively and sign a top-tier goalkeeper capable of restoring stability at the back.
One of the names linked with a move to Old Trafford in recent months has been Mike Maignan.
However, the Frenchman has now made his stance clear.
Mike Maignan ‘already said no’ to Manchester United
According to Tuttomercatoweb, Maignan has rejected a move to Manchester United, instead moving closer to an agreement with Chelsea.
The AC Milan goalkeeper, whose contract expires in 2026, has already reached personal terms with the Blues.
Milan, aware of the stalled renewal talks, are pushing for a sale to avoid losing him for free.
The first Chelsea bid of just over €15 million was rejected by Milan chiefs Giorgio Furlani and Igli Tare, but negotiations are ongoing.
A decisive meeting is scheduled for today, with both clubs hoping to reach a full agreement by June 10 – just in time for the Club World Cup.

The total package could rise to €25 million with bonuses included.
Maignan, who is keen to return to Champions League football and test himself in the Premier League, was personally requested by new Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca to strengthen the goalkeeping department.
United will have to be smart, should they aim to replace Onana before the start of the season.
Aaron Ramsdale’s name is one that has been mentioned, although his arrival would certainly come as a shock to fans.
