Rams Now Linked to Free Agent All-Pro Amid Jalen Ramsey Chatter

The Los Angeles Rams continue to hear Jalen Ramsey potentially returning. But now a newly available All-Pro is linked to the Rams, following his sudden release.

The Green Bay Packers opted to part ways with veteran cornerback Jaire Alexander Monday. Like Ramsey, Alexander rose as a trade option throughout the offseason.

Alexander entered 2025 due to make $16.15 million in base salary. The Pro Bowler, unfortunately, got hit with notable injuries over the years. He's still 28 and teams will believe he's capable of providing an impact.

Even CBS Sports NFL writer Jared Dubin believes Alexander is a Rams fit. Here's what he wrote:

"The Rams, like the Eagles, are always interested in going after star players. Their cornerback situation is a bit more settled with Darious Williams and Ahkello Witherspoon on the outside and Quentin Lake in the slot, but both Williams and Witherspoon have experience bumping inside and adding Alexander to the mix would raise the talent level of the entire group," Dubin wrote.

Adding Alexander, however, complicates a potential reunion with Ramsey. The latter past All-Pro is more familiar with the defensive structure and organization in general. Ramsey won his only Super Bowl ring with the Rams.

Ramsey continues to hear trade chatter with the Dolphins. Miami struggled to find a trade partner during the 2025 NFL Draft. Ramsey remains on the roster after June 1 cuts. But his future in South Beach remains nebulous. He's spent time away from the Dolphins during OTAs as his situation continues to work itself out.

But adding Alexander would create a Green Bay reunion in Woodland Hills. Alexander would reunite with newly added wide receiver Davante Adams -- who spent 2018 and 2021 with the All-Pro wideout.
