Jordan Love has Major Goal for Packers Showdown vs. Aaron Rodgers

The Green Bay Packers can prevent history when they square off against Aaron Rodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 7.

That night, Rodgers has the opportunity to record a win against all 32 teams across the NFL in what promises to be an electric atmosphere inside Acrisure Stadium against the team that drafted the Steelers’ new 41-year-old quarterback.

On the visitor’s sideline, though, Packers quarterback Jordan Love has major say over stopping history in its tracks. He also has another goal.

Love, Obviously is going to Pittsburgh aiming to knock off his former mentor and return to Green Bay with a win in tow, but that isn’t all he’s hoping to leave the Keystone State with.

During a recent interview, Love admitted that he hopes he has the chance to trade jerseys with Rodgers.

“It’s going to be fun. It’s going to be awesome. I’m excited for it,” Love recently told Channel 3000’s Jason Wilde. “I can’t wait to be on different sides, meeting up, and I know we’ll talk pre-game, things like that. And hopefully we can exchange jerseys after.”

Love played three seasons with Rodgers, before becoming the Packers’ full-time starter in 2023, and now will have the chance to square off against him for the first time.

“I appreciate definitely the way A-Rod handled being in that situation, and I think a big part of it— which he told me—was he knew how it was for him being in that same position, and the things that he went through and the way the situation might’ve been handled [differently],” Love said. “I think his perspective was, ‘I’m trying to go about this a little bit differently,’ which I think was awesome.

“In my time with A-Rod, we had a great relationship. It was awesome being in the same room with him, being able to learn. He was amazing with everything. And I definitely appreciate the way he handled everything on the outside, with obviously him leaving and me taking over, and he’s been very supportive of me.
